Since retiring back in mid 2015 I may wear a watch once or twice a month if that and I don't carry a cell phone to fall back on.
Seems like there is a clock everywhere I go if I need to tell what time it is.....wall clocks in the house and garage, one down in the lower right hand corner of this thing, one in the truck and pretty much everywhere a person goes nowadays there is one hanging on the wall and if I'm out and about and really want to know what time it is and there is no clock in view there is always, "excuse me (sir or ma'am) do you know what time it is ?"

I wear a watch every day. It's especially helpful at work and at the gym. I wear a Samsung Galaxy SM-R800. I have had it for a few years now with zero issues. It's the 46mm size so it's perfect for my wrists and it's water resistant. I've been swimming with it dozens of times with zero issues.
Never wore or owned a watch.
I think I understand:
Sunrise = Breakfast.
High Noon = Lunch
Sunset = Supper
Midnight = Snack!
No watch needed anymore.

If I on very rare occasion leave the house without a watch, I turn around, go back, and get one
