There are some loop holes for relatives. I didn’t have to pay tax on a car I bought from my grandmother because my dad was on her trust too. A good tag agency will save you $$$

Can't you just title it in both names?
Yeah could, but this if for a step daughter who is leaving the nest...car will be off my plate as well as the insurance
