I sold all mine too, but we all should be sure to contact our representatives and senators, not that they really want to represent us, but we might get lucky.

SB 2099 was a email rumor, but apparently Bobby Rush got the email and had someone draft H.R.45 - Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009, which sounds remarkably similar. it will be illeagle to transfer a firearm except through a liscensed dealer, thus, no more classifieds, and there must be a record of where all the guns are within 2 years from when it is passed.

check out section SEC. 403. INSPECTIONS.

In order to ascertain compliance with this Act, the amendments made by this Act, and the regulations and orders issued under this Act, the Attorney General may, during regular business hours, enter any place in which firearms or firearm products are manufactured, stored, or held, for distribution in commerce, and inspect those areas where the products are so manufactured, stored, or held.

THATS SEARCH WITHOUT A WARRANT WTF, LETS JUST LOOK TO SEE IF THE DEMOCRATS CAN RESURRECT THE FORMER SOVIET UNION'S DOCUMENTS AND PASS THEM AS LAW.

OpenCongress Summary

The Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act would establish a nationwide system for prohibiting unlicensed gun-ownership. If approved, the law would require gun owners to apply for five-year licenses to own firearms, and would give the U.S. Attorney General broad authority over the program.

This is a fringe bill with no co-sponsors that has virtually zero chance of becoming law. For more background on why there are bills in Congress like this one that are essentially dead on arrival, see this blog post.

One thing that not a whole lot of people know about is that there are new studies being started by the Obama administration about health issues with gun owners (i.e. how much extra health costs do gun owners have due to accidents with their firearms). If universal health care passes, guess what, this is one way that our guns will be, not taken away, but nudged away from us. For example, you can have a gun but there will be a nice fine that goes along with it because it will raise the cost of health care.

I would be interested in seeing the reference on this? Do you have a link of who is doing these studies?
