Scope a 30-30 lever gun?? No way DUDE! Many are drilled and tapped for peep sights. That's the way to go!

Mine is D&T but there's no way in hell I would ever scope it.

IMO, scoping a Marlin is one thing...scoping a Winchester? Well...that's like putting a dadgum dress on Clint Eastwood or John Wayne.

You just don't do it.

thurty thurty lever guns are what many boys in my neck of the woods did their first hunts with. Has ammo really gone up that much, seems in high school we paid like $6 for a box. reckon that was 22 years ago.

30-30 ammo is around 16 bucks a box of 20 at Wally World.

good to know that something has kind of stayed were it should. Tough for a young boy to come up with the scratch if it went the way some calibers have.
