I have read that if you are having battery issues with iOS6 to let the battery completely drain down until it shuts off then to fully charge it before unplugging it. And that it may be necessary to do this 2 or 3 times. This supposedly recalibrates the estimated battery % remaining. And I haven't updated my iPhone 4 yet because of all the suckage I'm hearing about the maps. It is something I use a lot. Can anyone that has upgraded comfirm that you can reinstall the Google Maps app?

You can't reinstall the Google Maps app.

There are also lots of people having wi-fi connection issues. It won't connect to wi-fi. It's a know issue, and I understand they are working on it.

I'm going to wait for 6.1 or 6.1.1, but in the end, it's your phone, do what makes you happy, but be advised, downgrading back to 5.1.1 isn't all that simple either, and there are some that have tried to reinstall the older ios without success. Getting the old ios back is apparently hit and miss.

I upgraded my iPad to it. Just to see the map. And already miss google map. Pissed me off that it takes the YouTube app off. My iPhone is jail broke. So I will wait a bit longer to update that. But wife and two kids updated and they havent complained.

If you leave the "location services" button "ON" then you use the "find my phone" feature in Itunes to find your phone if you ever lose it. You can go into the location services menu and turn off individual components. We've found 5 phones people thought they'd lost just by using that. If you turn it off it's a no go.
my bad ...I meant NOTIFICATIONS....not location....oops!

Did it. Other than a few screen changes, don't really see a big difference. Battery life OK.

Still wish the 5 had a 128GB memory. Looking to buy new this fall and will fill most of the 64GB with music.

I have a friend that upgraded their iPad-2 and it crashed the whole system. Luckily there was an extended warranty at Best Buy and they replaced it with an iPad-3 cause the 2 is no longer made.

The techs said that they had never seen an iPad with a blue screen before.
