So, it's a bit of a long story, but some guys on a forum I am a member of decided to do a giveaway. A guy who knew about the kind of year my family had put me in for it and I was picked, along with some others.
The rifle is going to be a 6.5, in a long action wildcat. It beats the performance of 6.5x284 by a couple hundred fps, but in barrel life it is way ahead. So far all the details that I know for sure other than caliber are, 26 inch Krieger Sendero contour barrel, Remington 700 long action, and that it's supposed to come with scope and all completely set up to shoot, plus custom dies, 50 formed cases and possibly some other things.
Will update as I know more, I am tremendously excited about it, and pretty much in awe of the generosity being sent my way. The shooting/hunting community is definitely made up of some excellent people.
