It kind of irks me when you respond to a classified with an IM and never get a reply. I don't mind not getting the item, but not getting a reply just seems rude.:finger:

I think it all ought to be public, so everyone can see the dumb offers and propositions of more money after their told the item is sold.

Are you messaging that you'll take the item and not getting a reply, or are you sending lowball offers? The reason I ask is because I've done a lot of buying on here and I've never failed to get a reply when messaging the seller.

I've bought and sold many firearms on this site with very little problems. But I don't reply to crazy lowball offers. i.e. would you take a $100.00 and a box of .22 shells for your GP 100. Yeah right.

Low-ballers, junk dealers, douche-bags, and the just plain stupid can turn sellers off. Maybe they thought you were trying to low-ball them and just didn't want to get into a war of words with you. Could of happened that way..... I am sure your offer was legit, BUT after getting insulted several times they may just choose to not respond.

No. It wasn't a low ball offer, it was a reply that I was interested at the listed price, but I'm out of town. As far as the war of words comment, why would anyone want to pick on an unarmed man ( me ). I notice everyone seems to think I'm trying to lowball someone Every offer I've made on this board has been taken. No offense Glocktogo.

Edit: when it was something offered and not something I was looking for in the WTB.

None taken. It was a legitimate question, to which you gave a reasonable reply. The seller may have had an offer with a quick meet, but I would've responded to you that the item was already sold. It doesn't take much time and it's the polite thing to do.

That would have been my thought. I respponded to folks that offered me stuff on my want to buy, even if they were out of my price range. And it may have already been sold by the time I responded but there werent any replies to the post
