I would vote no. And you would need to rotate spent brass every shot. The good news is almost no one picks up spent .22 so you can probably get all you want for free.

I know it's ok to dry fire some firearms, but I grew up not doing it and don't permit it with mine.

A local gun store here had a sign that said $1.00 per snap. And for a buck you could buy 4 packs of Marlboros out of a machine.

The man that owned is it dead and gone, but the store was passed on and is still open, I haven't noticed the sign.
