It's so danged frustrating when you can't find a specific handgun,,,

Start the Rant!

My 78 year old sister has been bugging me about getting a handgun for a while now,,,
Very typically she wants nothing bigger than a small .22 revolver.

Please don't start with the semi's are better or a .38 is better,,,
I've been all over this with her and she's adamant,,,
A small frame .22 revolver is all she will carry.

If it were different I would already have given her,,,
A very nice S&W Model 36 with 3" barrel

So I search the manufacturers websites and come up with a great candidate,,,
Taurus 942, with 8-shot cylinder and a 3" barrel,,,
MSRP is $454.95 so I should get one for less.

Trouble is,,,
I can't find one anywhere.

I called every gun shop in OK City,,,
No one has one.

I've looked at every on-line gun shop I can think of,,,
No one has one.

I even tried gunbroker and two other auction sites I found on Google,,,
No one has one.

I have a model 34 snubby I could let her carry,,,
But it only holds 6 shots,,,
It's a 1-7/8"snubby.

I also have a Charter Arms Pathfinder I could let her carry,,,
But it only holds 6 shots as well,,,
It's a 4" barrel and heavy

Budsgunshop has a Charter Arms Pathfinder in stock,,,
It has an 8 round cylinder which I like,,,
It's also a 1-7/8" snubby.

It's only $361.49 so if I can't find the Taurus 942 somewhere,,,
I'll probably go with the Charter Arms Pathfinder,,,
I just wish it had a 3" barrel like the Taurus.

Dang you Taurus for making the ideal pistol for my needs,,,
And then not putting them out in the dang stores.

My first thought was the Ruger LCR.
That S&W is a smell of a good DEAL.

Being hard to find says 1 of 2 things;
1. Extremely popular and sell fast
2. Manufacturer is more interested in making / selling other models.

Good luck, wimmens can be stubborn and difficult. Just get what she wants and be happy.

I sold a 317 last year fire a lot more than 500. You should grab that quick!!
