Jumpstart from Dewalt battery

I seen someone post this as they were headed to work with a dead battery. Would you try?

I don't think a DeWalt battery is going to have enough amps to crank a starter over and start an engine. It's got nothing to do with voltage. You need amps too to crank the engine over.

Now, I have used a DeWalt battery to unlock or lock the doors, and to roll down the window..

A DeWalt battery it normally 2.5 or so amp hour batteries. You can get 4 and 5 amp hour batteries.
Car battery has on average what? 550 to 650 or even 680 cranking amps.

This is a way better option.


Those tiny paperclip wires going into the contact slots of the Dewalt battery aren't going to flow enough current to do much, they will try though...
