Should have asked if it was like pizza delivery that is already paid for ........It's pretty amusing looking at the voting results so far—nobody has picked #1! I guess it's not too surprising, given how common it might be to get propositioned by a prostitute in Vegas. Well, you're all correct—#1 actually happened, so no need to vote for it, haha!
The elevators at our hotel required you to scan your room key to select your floor. Apparently, the "John" missed that detail, and his evening’s companion couldn’t get up to his room. I called for the elevator, and when the door opened, there she was, dressed exactly as you'd expect. She asked me to press a certain floor, but I explained I could only pick my own. She then straight-up told me she couldn’t reach her client and asked if I wanted her to come to my room instead. I politely declined, wished her a safe night, and thought to myself, "Yeah, I definitely don't need that kind of trouble—or whatever type of VD I'd bring home from a night like that!"
Wait . . . they had to pay to be employed?I'm sure it's changed as has the world, but that place is a people watchers paradise as it was back in the day.
Another interesting thing we found during our one and only trip out there was a guy in Cesars coming up to me and saying do I know you?
He did. He was a counter guy at Heatwave Controls in Ponca where we did business.
He worked as a breakfast busboy at Cesars. His mom proceeded him in employment at the same place as a waitress. She had to pay $25,000 dollars to the restaurant manager to get her job with no guarantee she wouldn't be fired the next day. She made a year and our guy went there with $10,000 to be hired as a busboy.
He took us around town going into the employee back doors to see the high roller locations where the normal public can't go. We went into one casino where baccarat was being played for a million dollars a round in a small room. Heavily armed guards were stationed everywhere.
There is a lot more to Vegas that the normal public never gets to see.
Never mind. I think I’ll just go by myself. 1 seat left front and center.
Very nice guy. What was Westbrook like?
I’ve heard nothing but good things about him. My wife used to interact with a lot of people like that when she was a nurse at the children’s center in Bethany. Other teams would tour too. She’s a fan of mark harmon, the actor too.Very nice guy.
Same here. He's all business on the court but very personable outside of 'work'. Best friend was their delivery driver for several years and he had a LOT of packages sent. Mostly dealt with his wife but occasionally Russ would answer the door and sign. Great sense of humor according to my friend.I’ve heard nothing but good things about him.
