Your first stop needs to be the MIO building. Walk in, turn left, and look for the Fesperman's Beef Jerky stand on your right.

Peppered is the most amazing jerky I've ever had behind my dad's homemade.

It's excellent, it's homemade style. I buy a pack of the Peppered flavor and stick it in my back pocket. All of the walking around, sitting down, over and over again makes it really soft and easy to reach back and tear off a pinch throughout the day.

The first thing I do when I get to the fair is pick up a Miller Lite, then I go straight to the beef jerky, then back to the beer stand, and then it's time to enjoy the fair.
