According to the news tonight good ol' Mr. Ersland got caught with a pocket full of pain patches. He made up all kinds of stories about what was in his pocket, then he made up all kinds of stories about how "oh ... THOSE pain patches" got there. Bottom line is his son fessed up to giving them to him during a visit.

He must like prison life ...

If I were his appeals attorney, I would resign. If I were his future attorney, I'd advise him to stop doing and saying stupid things. Then again, after this episode, it may be too little too late. I hope he gets another trial and I hope it nets him the same result. Maybe then, his supporters will realize that he did indeed commit the crime.

I don't know much about the prison system medical benefits. I'm willing to play the odds, pharmacist needing drugs smuggled to him, who shot the **** out of someone....... Guilty drug addict.
