I can see trading because there is a transaction & you’re getting a gun in return. But i don’t think a gift is a transaction, as you’re not getting anything of value in return. So cant see the profit requirement to meet the new rule standard. I watched the armed atty too. Can’t remember if they addressed the gift scenario

Not according to the lawyers I've heard discussing this. More than one has said you may not even be safe selling your guns thru a dealer. I believe it was the Armed Attys and WA Gun Law on YT. Even trading could be construed to be "in the business" under this rule. This is, plain and simple, an attempt to not only enact universal background checks it's an attempt to stop private citizens from disposing of guns. They're enacting thru "rules" what they haven't been able to get thru legislation.

Granny needs to get her license like everyone else. NO EXCEPTIONS!
It’s kinda sad when our rulers tell us exactly what they want to impose upon us, and some people refuse to believe they’d actually make rules to do exactly what they want to do. :(

Yeah...you guys are right. F*** it. Why even bother? Just let ATF have their way. FFS...

Why is it some of you guys piss and moan about nobody doing anything and government running roughshod over our rights and blah, blah, blah? Then when something good happens and someone (a judge in this case) actually does something POSITIVE that protects our rights, even in a small way, you piss and moan about that, too.

It's just amazing to me.
Because the government will continue to do what they want and piss on our rights.

Grovel and beg? Really? The organizations, states and individuals that are fighting against this are hardly groveling and begging, now are they? No. They're making articulate, accurate and well-reasoned arguments to the courts because that's where this war will be won. I get so tired of hearing guys on this forum talking out of both sides of their mouths on issues like this.

Luckily for all of us there are people that actually are fighting against this tyranny instead of just bitching about it.

You can wallow in negativity all you like. I'll take a win every time...even a small one. Winning little battles are how wars are won.
But do you not realize you are celebrating a small victory, meanwhile, we continue to have to go to court and fight the very government that has oppressed us and stripped away supposed inalienable “rights “ that can’t be taken away? It’s ridiculous. All the while we still have to ask for permission to buy a gun and silencer. And we also have to ask for permission to put a stock on a gun that has a barrel shorter than 16”. Then we have to pay to get the permission and get fingerprinted. And then we have to register them. We will never even come close to gaining back what had been taken from us.

I have read this as well. It wasn't because of mafia assassins.
They did it because it’s the government and they want to oppress and control us. That’s why. They wanted to put ALL firearms and silencers in the NFA. Pistols too. Our government is corrupt. Has been since the 1800’s.
