I would think it's more accurate to give Kaepernick props as an NFL quarterback, but he sucks politically. He obviously has more influence with Nike than I'd have thought, but his political views got him pretty much blacklisted from the NFL, has caused him to become an outcast, and his approach to what he was protesting resulted in the method completely overshadowing the message. I don't think people understand at all what he was trying to say, and as people joined him it just created more animosity and division. Not good.
