I’m thinking those families have been indoctrinated. Californian’s need to stay in California and correct their own mess. Don’t export that ideology anywhere else. Same with NY and IL.

And half of the country if not more, the education system and the college are doing a good job with the brain washing the young and naive.

...there are not a lot of people that have OK as their top two or three choices to move to. You all should be lucky are not a native Tennesse, Idaho, Texas or Arizona residents. When people are looking at various states to move to, OK is usually 3-6 on the list.
Ya hear that!
Take heed and make sure your tornado preparedness kits include: filthy wife beater shirt, greasy ball cap, fake jacked up Halloween teeth.
And practice wearing that get up with a microphone stuck in your face, saying "It sounded like a train! Muh banjo is gone and we cain't find half of the coon dogs! Didn't have no insurance on the trailer! But THE LORD WILL PROVIDE and we'll manage 'cause this here is paradise!"
This sounds foolish but keeping out of state interlopers, out of state, depends on it.

If you all will think back to the 30's nearly half of Oklahoma moved to California

I suspect that a number of those that went to California also returned. My parents and grandparents lived through those times of Depression and Dust Bowl, and I personally knew folks that returned. Those people are the epitome of hardiness and courage. Imagine packing up everything you could in a car and driving 1500 miles or so with no guarantee of getting a job.

Oh, and I'm not sure one could definitely say that "half of Oklahoma" moved.

Hey!!!! I think OK ruined California!!!! Thanks fellas!

Not quite...

...I had cousins that lived in Napa. I was stationed at a small Army base west of Petaluma, CA, and while I was stationed there, one of the cousins stated that I would be back in California within 5 years, probably to live instead of visit.

He was just slightly wrong. That was in 1969, and it was 2016 before I got into any part of California again, and that was just a visit while we were working at a retreat and reunion center near Grants Pass, OR. Incidentally, my cousins would find that ironic as they grew up in Grants Pass.

California is a beautiful state to ride a motorcycle in if you just stop for gas and don’t talk to anyone. I just hope those moving here don’t vote like they did there although you can see that’s the case in some elections. Slow learners.....

Wife's nephew was in the Navy for years and stationed in southern California (San Diego?). IIRC, he said there were about 340 bike riding days a year.
