I was in the military for 22 years and if I had a dollar for every time I was told to be ready, pack my bags, your on alert, ect. I would be a rich man. The first couple of years I took the pack your bags stuff serious. The trick is to always have a bag packed, just like a "bugout bag".

My father only spent a fraction of the time you spent in the military but he says the same thing. What did he do in the military? Get ready to do nothing.

I certainly don't. But I do know it will result in a lot of Americans getting killed for reasons we don't know and may not understand for a bunch of people that probably don't like us and don't want us there.

Yep and I only give this time a 50/50 chance of being anything. Could be an exercise, could be the Syria / Turkey thing, or it could be intel on a possible attack somewhere else. You never know until something happens. I know some of us have friends or family in the military and think about these things. Lucky for us we have the liberal snobs making fun of the fact that our men and women in the military are being put on alert and there is a chance they may be sent in harms way.

How do you put a percentage on anything that dosnt have an average? Technically you could say that there is a 90% chance of Romney winning but then if he wins you could say there was a 1% chance of him winning and no one would know the difference because there is still a chance.

Maybe if you had bothered to read my post before drinking you would notice I never said anything was going to happen. Only that according to post by their family members some people in the military have been put on alert. I did my time in the military and saw some alerts that never came to anything and some that did. Some of you started coming up with the crazy ideas of what might be happening. I must admit I did like the Ottoman post having been attacked and tripped by one years ago after I accidentally dropped a turkey sandwich and spilled a beer on it.
