I know what his instruction forte is. And that is exactly my point. If you are targeting professionals, why attack a group that is predominantly hobbyists?

If you're talking about the hobbyists on AR15.com, it's probably because they try to pass themselves off as professionals, jump on anyone's back that has different opinions or gear from the majority of the elite, and just generally act like, well, a bunch of douches. Maybe he was fighting fire with fire, in the only way that most of those people will understand.

That wasn't a roast, I was expecting more. I did think his comments were spot on though. Trying to get info on Arfcom can be downright amusing at times. I've always cracked up at why the 1911 guys go nuts over his builds. They are nice and all... but some command 5-10K?.... he's not that good of a smith.

Anyone have a link of the Arfcom guys crying about this? Surely there has to be one.

Who has it affected here? I havent seen one person that really cares what he said about arfcom. Most here agree with what he said, but him saying it? Makes him look like a complete egotistical moron.

Not a double standard.

If I am trying to hock my skills or a product I endorse, I would not rely on slam techniques. My skills and my knowledge should sell its self. By slamming a community of hobbyists, he just put himself on their level in my book.

In a commercial for a LAV SE DD rifle,... what does ARFCOM have to do with any of it?

That is a completely different situation than, oh lets say, him participating in a discussion on a forum about gear X being better than gear Y, and when some internet bada$$ comes on saying he doesnt know crap, he calls the guy a douche.

If it was in direct response to a previous discussion... completely acceptable. But last time I remember(Keep in mind, I havent been on arfcom in a year or so, well accept to sign up for a M3 giveaway), but I dont recall LAV participating in much over there.

Honestly, I dont know the guy from adam (only what I have read, cant afford to take a course in person), And have no idea what his humor is. It would appear he might suffer from the same disease I have, very, very dry humor.

Like I said, he pulled himself partly out of the negative by sending an explination. Still in the negative for the fact his message does indeed indicate it was somewhat scripted by DD. Like he said, its his mug.
