I F'ed up at nightforce NSX with HS Turrets in training and they mailed me a new optic and LT-104 mount next day air for FREE and told me to put the other in the box and mail it back With the included shipping label. I Dropped the rifle upside down and it cross threaded the elevation turret! No questions asked, Needless to say I've spent alot of money with them since!

I noticed lot's of mini-14s in the hands of LAPD guarding the manifesto named high value targets in LA on the news. I hope Ruger follows suit and sends their own press release stating the same policy as Larue to the LAPD.

I forwarded this to Ruger, through their Tell the CEO feature on the Ruger website:

http://www.ruger.com/resources/tellTheCEO.html

Here's what I sent:

I've purchased /none of your business/ new(not used) Ruger firearms(not to mention purchases I've made on shopruger.com) in just the last six months and took action on the website to make my voice heard(great feature, kudos, btw) to oppose this all out assault on the 2nd amendment.

I've been a loyal customer. I've done my part, now it is time for Ruger to do their part.

Please review the following press release. I strongly encourage Ruger to follow suit and issue their own press release stating the same policy.

NEWS RELEASE:
02/08/2013 LEANDER, TX.

Updated Policy for State and Local Agency Law Enforcement Sales:

Due to the recent and numerous new Anti-gun/Anti-2nd Amendment laws passed and/or pending across our country, LaRue Tactical has been forced to reconsider how we provide products to state and local agencies.

Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

State and local laws have always been a serious focus of this firm, and we are now dovetailing that focus with the constitutional rights of the residents covered in their different areas by the old and new regulations.

We realize this effort will have an impact on this firm’s sales – and have decided the lost sales are less danger to this firm than potential lawsuits from erroneous shipments generated by something as simple as human error.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Mark LaRue

Whether or not Ruger adopts this policy will affect my brand loyalty and whether or not I make any future purchases of Ruger products.

Just checked the Ruger Facebook page and there are numerous comments(to their Feb 4 posting about their Protect your rights campaign) urging Ruger to adopt the same policy as Larue. If you are so inclined, you might want to add your voice to the campaign for Ruger to adopt Larue's policy there, too.

S&W appears to have stopped agency sales. Good on them. Sorta. I hope they learned their lesson from '94. Maybe Ruger and Glock have also done the same.

I've always liked ordering from LaRue because of the quality, service, and even all the extra stuff they throw in the box. But this is really over the top, without a doubt, my next orders will be headed their way.

Bravo Larue....

Some folks are upset that this new policy doesn't extend to the feds, yet. The way I see it, right now the only NEW legislation is coming out of the States...LT is sending a message. It will be interesting to see what they do if/when the feds pass more restrictions.

I suspect he may not do that until he figures out how to make it work for MIL only. I'm sure he doesn't want to impact his MIL customers.

Now if we could just get all other firearm and ammunition makers to do the same. Imagine ammo makers restricting California law enforcement agencies to 500 rounds per year. :)

Hey isn't that what Feinstein said about that maniac? If the polic lay their weapons down she said he would also and then that just means they won't need all those boolits and it will be less likely they will shoot innocent civilians that drive in pickups.
