http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/st...=REMINGTON 700 VERTICAL GRIP LONG RANGE STOCK

I had this stock in the fully adjustable version a few years ago on one of my first custom sticks and loved the stock but hated the adjustment. So this time I just got it in the fixed version and it is mo betta.

I was getting ready to order one up after a bit - but I was gonna go with the adjustable one. Why did you hate that one? Can I fondle your fixed one (stock that is) sometime?

You can touch my stick if I can touch your stick.... Cheytac that is!

Seriously though... The adj. one is heavier which sucks. It also has no locking feature which sucks too because what happens when you hand someone something that has switches/levers/wheels/buttons on it? They have to jack with them! So I was always having to adjust it back to where I liked it. Then the cheekpiece wheel was on the bottom right where I hold it with my rear bag and it would get bumped while shooting. It just is a bad design I think. I like stock packs much better anyway.

I think I'm going to hit the range Tues if it's not raining and you want to check it out. If you have a Rem 700 action bring it and you can drop it in it and shoot it.

Here's mine. My goal was an entry-level medium range paper puncher.

Savage 10FP in .308 (24" / Accutrigger)
HS Precision stock w/ Karsten's Custom Camo cheekpiece
Millet LRS-1
Harris Bi-pod
Eagle stock pack

And yes, I need to mow my lawn.

Looks great. With the right load that should get you out to 800 yards easy.

Here's mine - still in progress (and its looking like it might take a slightly different direction with all of the super-nice rifles I'm seeing on here):

Remington 700 SPS Varmint .308
El Cheapo knock-off scope
Caldwell Swivel/Cant Bi-Pod
Galadi Stock-pack & Shooter's Mat
Home-made Bean-bag (I swear its the perfect size for that bi-pod though)

Where did you get the pouch for your butt pad at? Will it hold 300wsm rounds?
