Not much compared to the other pics here, but I wanted to post anyway. Just a plain vanilla Savage Model 10 in .308. Still deciding on a scope.

A good suppressor will allow the shooter to make multiple or follow-up shots without the enemy learning their position. They also act as a muzzle break and ultimate flash hider. They make the big guns much more pleasant to shoot.

I buy silencers because they're bad ***.

I don't think anyones worried about their paper targets hearing the shot but their own ears. And as DG pointed out the main reason I have one is recoil management. Oh and cause they're bad *** lol.

-99.99% of the time your rifle will shoot tighter groups with a suppressor mounted.

-Big bore guns (which almost always have muzzle breaks) make a huge dust cloud which will coat you and your weapon in dust, gravel, twigs and small rodents (a can will cure this problem). In the real world, the dust signature also gives away the shooters position and obscures his target delaying follow-up shots.

-Most shooters can shoot better groups with a can mounted because the blast shock wave is so much more benign (not as much of a tendancy to flinch/pull your shots).

-Suppressors will help preserve your hearing.

-Chicks (and Josh L) dig suppressors.
