Laid a 862 yard long mock deer blood trail last yesterday evening with 4 oz of blood and 2 feet saved from last fall.
Put Jax on the trail this morning and he followed it pretty closely and recovered the deer.
Following him I put in 138 more yards. 2 minutes and 2 seconds longer following Jax tracking it.

They don't bother my dog, but I thought this was funny.

When tracking he wears a harness and that is the only time I use it. When he sees the harness he gets so excited. He can't contain the whines, whimpers and heavy breathing.
I would love to get him on more practice tracks but it is so hot. I only laid this long of a trail because it was 20 degrees cooler.

A couple guys cover the Enid area but maybe I can get up there sometime to visit some friends and track a deer for you.

Dawg is finally getting better -- I think the puppy pot has gotten him calm enough that he has learned that he is okay as long as he is touching me. Poor guy ... Fireworks and thunder are the only things he's afraid of ...

So this is a pic of my little one ,Rosie. My wife took it when she visited her at the Vet after swallowing a 3 inch piece of antler.............. She is home now and on the road to recovery and we have to really reign her in because of the stitches and her thinking she is a wrecking ball LOL.

Clyde is starting to fit in well. Him and the Golden are best pals most of the time. He loves the lake, is definitely a mommas boy, and now I have two dogs to poop with.

Excited to go to the lake, although he doesn’t know that’s where he is going yet.

Wayyy overdid it at the lake, just like the golden. Half the time I have to carry the golden into the house after a day at the lake, he would probably swim/chase balls/play himself to literal death if we let him. Hopefully I can develop an off switch with Clyde.
