Lecile and Joe were sitting at the bar when Lecile said, "You know, I do believe that men are a lot more loyal to their friends than women are to theirs."
"Really," replied Joe, "what makes you think that?"
"Well, about two weeks ago, my wife stayed out all night. When she came home, I asked her where she'd been, and she told me she'd been with a friend of hers. I asked her which friend, and she said, 'you don't know her.'
"So the next day, I called ten of her friends. They all said they hadn't seen her in months."
"Well, that ain't good," said Joe.
"Yep. So this last weekend, I stayed out all night. When I came home, she's waitin' at the door, and she asked me where I'd been. I told her I'd been with a friend all night. She asked me who, and I told her he was a new friend, and she didn't know him.
"So she called ten of my friends. Eight of them said I'd spent the night with them."
"Yeah," said Joe, "that's pretty loyal. What about the other two?"
"They said I was still there."
"Really," replied Joe, "what makes you think that?"
