I vote for the Spyderco Delica 4. And my wife carries a Spyderco Ladybug 3. Great knives. A buddy of mine carries nothing but benchmade.
My Emerson CQC 15 arrived today ... I've been playing with it so much today that my wrist is sore from flipping the blade open so many times
The osborne 940 from Benchmade is a hell of a knife, super thin, you forget you are carrying it but still a decent size blade. But the benchmade I've been carrying most since lately is the volli, its got a great blade on it, and it feel great to my hands, it just fits. It also has a spring assist feature that is really handy - pretty much an auto without being classified as an auto. If you have the opportunity, go put your hands on them before you buy. You will know when one feels rights.
Emerson Knives set the standard for quality EDC's. I carry the CQC-7bw. You can get it w/ or w/o the serrated edge. I prefer w/o, but they have a variety of styles to choose from for you own personal needs. I recommend that you check out http://emersonknives.com/ and decide for yourself.
I have owned one for several years and it may be the best fixed blade Spyderco makes. The sheath is excellent and the knife feels good in the hand. Fred Perrin is an excellent designer.
i'm carrying a RAM and i'm not sure i can find another knife i love as much. I bought a benchmade and promptly sold it. I wish i had bought three more RAMs to last me forever! I did buy a kershaw cryo and it's not bad. I'd probably like the cryo II more but wish i could turn it into a flipper instead of an assisted knife.
