Jon Lord, one of the founding members of Deep Purple died at 71. He also played with Whitesnake later on. One of my favorite keyboard players ever. RIP Jon.

Perfect Strangers was a very good album.
We seem to be losing a lot of the greats!
While Perfect Strangers was a great one now I feel old because I remember listening to Machine Head and Space Trucking...on eight track.
Deep Purple and Rainbow had some great musicians. If I recall, Perfect Strangers was a DP reunion album and was intro'd as such. I had been contemplating switching over to Paiste cymbals and after hearing Ian Paice on that album I immediately sold all my Zildjians. Been a die-hard Paiste guy every since.
Yeah, this is a bummer. In the realm of country pioneers, I just found out we lost Kitty Wells on Monday.
