Thanks for all the replies everyone. Tonight was really hard as I had to explain to my 3 year old that her dog wasn't going to be at grandma and grandpas when we go up there tomorrow.
I kinda know what your going through. My iguana died in his sleep last Thurs night. I had him for 18 yrs and I have been a wreck. I really didn't think I could love an animal, let alone an iguana, that much. Its been hard the past week not seeing, petting him or talking to him. Something that I've done everyday for the past 18 yrs. He's been with me longer then then my wife or any other living being. Dino was the only constant that I had during that time span. I'm finally getting close to normal but I will definitely miss him. The pain has been overwhelming at times. I will never have another pet because the pain is too much. I know that 18 yrs is about 8 yrs longer then an iguana normally lives as a pet but he left me too soon.
