LUBE..... Your preference?

I get Frog Lube for free from a friend who is a distributor. I would not use it if I had to pay for it because it is freaking expensive. I will grant that it is great at preventing corrosion.

I have used the following lubricants:

1. Hoppe's Oil
2. Breakfree CLP
3. Shooter's Choice grease
4. RemOil
5. White Lithium Grease
6. Ballistol
7. Wilson Combat Ultima-Lube
8. Frog Lube (paste and CLP)
9. Mobil 1

All of these have worked fine. When my friend quits giving me Frog Lube I'm switching to ATF and wheel bearing grease.

Apparently the new hot sh1t is Rand CLP, if you're bound and determined to chase the next great thing.

Breakfree CLP for oil and

Lubraplate lithium grease for rails / slides.

Bore butter for black powder

I've been pleased enough with the CLP to not look elsewhere. Probably better stuff out there, but not good enough to throw away all the CLP I have left. My 22lr pistols love it.
