I have a option to trade for a GM M1 carbine with sling and 2 clips

in great condition

if I swap I will be trading my Marlin Model 375

for it

I would be using the 30 carbine for hog hunting , etc.

any thoughts or ideas please?

Im not familiar with the M1

It sounds like a good trade for you, lots of history, fun to shoot and neat looking but there are far, far better calibers to use for hog hunting. You need a heavy bullet to get through the tough hide and thick bones of a hog and the .30 carbine ain't it. It only shoots a 110 grain bullet.

You might find that the hogs have gotten a little bigger...

400 pounders are not uncommon by my house...

I've got an M1 Carbine, and there ain't no way I'd go looking for pigs with it.

Other than that, sounds like a pretty fair deal unless the Carbine's a complete beater.
