It seems now that ODOT puts radar emmiters on all of the electronic sign boards now. I pass no less than 10 of them going to and coming from class. It drives my radar detector crazy.

Is there a reason for this?

I did get pulled over by OHP the other day, by the trooper walking out onto the hi-way in front of me and signaling me over. I had been in a construction zone for a good 5 miles and he said "aircraft" got me speeding. Funny thing, I noticed one of those radar things hanging off a sign on one of the overpasses about halfway through the construction zone. Any coincedience? Who knows...

I drive a Jeep Wrangler. At 15 MPG I can't afford the gas needed to speed.

i have a underpowered 4 cyl tacoma, so i hear ya there. it dont like to speed. except in city limits...

tin foil helmet side note, allegedly there are cameras on top of like every street light here in town. someone was talkingabout a og and e employee who was complaining about having to replace em all the time...

I dont speed, and the radar detector was paid for years ago.

The cameras you see on some of the signal lights are used to trigger the signal light. We have them all over Norman as well. We do not replace cameras on any lights at all from what I know from talking with our field guys. The only lights we take care of are street lights and highway lights, we dont mess with signal lights.

LOL...same here.

As far as construction zones, I think I-35 has been under construction since before Oklahoma even became a State.

I've been here since 1984, and I've never driven along I-35 without hitting a construction zone. Often times in the same areas over and over again.
