1) Your "intelectual giant" has helped our deficit/debt grow since the 90's
2) He has stones? For doing what? His claim to fame is a failed budget.
3) Wont speak for the Dems, but he's been in congress a long time, he's part of the problem.
4) Picking Ryan scares knowbody, he will be a powerless propagandist for Romney unless something happens to Romney.

Im thinking a Jeb Bush/Rubio ticket would work well for the GOP, after Obamas 2nd term.

That's funny stuff right there. There will not be a second term for this tool. No amount of duct tape can save his sinking ship.

You seriously think anybody named Bush would go over well in the next 20 years? The Dems would have a field day with that.

He has stones for taking on the Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security issue head on. That's something no politician I can remember has had the balls to do regardless of which side of the isle they planted their keester on.

You've probably seen my posts preaching about 3rd party candidates and voting for them, write ins, etc. being a waste of your vote. I believe that very much. But, I promise I'd write in Ron Paul or my wife's dead cat before I vote for Jeb Bush. Unless maybe Pelosi was running and had a shot, then I might possibly pull Jeb's lever.

Again, it doesn't really matter who gets selected this time around if you look at their voting history. My prediction is that Obama will be reselected and the next election (if we make it that far) will be between JEB and Hilary. Bush v Clinton 2016.

George Bush

right after the 2004 election

"I have built up political capital and I intend to spend it"

Reform Social Security by privatizing it, similar to Ryan's plan for medicare.

Whatever happened to that SS initiative anyway?

I'm guessing that you forgot that Clinton's own blue ribbon commission recommended "partial privatization" also? IRRC it was around 1996. I've been saying for 20 years that I'd love to opt out of SS altogether. Just let me keep what I've paid in and I'll invest it on my own. I guaranty that I will beat the .govs return and retire a whole lot better off.

Personally, I don't think that anyone has really been serious. With some of them going bankrupt inside of 10 years now, it kind of makes it mandatory to be addressed. Another missed opportunity for Obama to lead.
