I used to answer questions on those forms. I don't waste my time on filling that out...they get my insurance card, address, phone number...all of the question remain unanswered. They can pull medical history from another doctor if they want...but I'm not volunteering anything. They'll just want to use it against me at some point. And don't get me started on wanting my Social Security number. Bat rastards...all of 'em.

It was on an information form at my regular doctor's office a few years ago I just ignored it. When you lift your shirt and your doctor sees a holster he isn't stupid. I usually keep the pocket pistol on me though. I don't want to alarm him.

So I went to my specialist the other day and had to have a prostate exam, his building isn't posted so I went on in with my XD under my shirt in it's IWB holster. He told me to turn around, drop my pants, grab the exam table, and bend over. Well of course that necessitated removing my gun so I placed it on the table in front of me. Doc looked me in a shocked manner and asked what the gun was for. I told him it was in case I felt a hand on each shoulder at the same something bumped my prostate!

Can someone tell me how to put this in my sig line? It's worthy!

I have been thinking about it. If you have your concealed carry license, or if you have ever bought a gun from a dealer, they already know or have a way to know if you have a gun. So, if the purpose of this question is to see who has guns in the event of confiscation or whatever, it is really unnecessary, and since it relies on self-reporting, is less reliable than the 4473 forms, or just getting the list of CCW holders. And the feds can get those easy enough already. Look at Missouri, who within the last month revealed it had turned over a complete list of all CCW's to federal authorities.

It is to by-pass Dr / patient confidentiality and require Drs. to report when certain drugs are prescribed to unstable persons known to be in possession of firearms or in the same household. May not be happening now or is it?
