Thanks for all of this. It has been very informative and completely intertaining. LMAO
As a doctor, I would tell you to say "how does this pertain to my visit today?"
I wouldn't answer it personally.
Oh, and I thought that this was specifically prohibited under the new healthcare legislation (I may be wrong on that)...
Uh...........er.......... I forgot what I was thinking when I posted that.

How do you answer the new question showing up on medical information forms for your doctor visit. I was told the new form was due to requirements of Obama care. The question I saw was "do you have any guns in your home."
Sooo , pretty much there already Is a Gun Registry?I have been thinking about it. If you have your concealed carry license, or if you have ever bought a gun from a dealer, they already know or have a way to know if you have a gun. So, if the purpose of this question is to see who has guns in the event of confiscation or whatever, it is really unnecessary, and since it relies on self-reporting, is less reliable than the 4473 forms, or just getting the list of CCW holders. And the feds can get those easy enough already. Look at Missouri, who within the last month revealed it had turned over a complete list of all CCW's to federal authorities.
To go along with the above Gun Registry? It is to by-pass Dr / patient confidentiality and require Drs. to report when certain drugs are prescribed to unstable persons known to be in possession of firearms or in the same household. May not be happening now or is it?
When the doc asked me the gun question I just rolled up my sleeves for her and flexed my biceps. She just looked at me and said "I guess it's safe to check NO guns in this household." What a buzz kill.....
