Medical marijuana is a scam. Either legalize pot or don't. I'm on the fence. Maybe a bit more against it than for it, but not really big in either camp and rather enjoy the state flexing it's constitutional muscle against the federal government.
YES.
But the Supreme Court voted NO on reclassifying marijuana last week thus refusing to drop it from the class of drugs it is in, the class of drugs with no medical benefits. So it is going to be awhile before any state makes it totally legal. Obama has said that he isnt going to push things in Colorado and Washington state, for now, so they can act like its totally legal there until the government decides on a day to crack down on them. And they will at some point. I was in California the day last year when the feds raided hundreds of dispensaries and now only a portion of them have reopened. Same will happen in Colorado and Washington. Legal in Oklahoma, not any time soon, or ever. IMO it will be the last state to go legal same as it was with tattooing.
yes...so i can relax my kids..............(just kidding OSA..LOL)
I say nope......drug addiction starts (usually) with marijuana. Then they want to get MORE high, so let's try Meth, or Cocaine, or heroin. Just my experience. That is for the decriminalazation........Not sure how I feel about the medical portion. There is already drugs available for pain management.
Every hard narcotic user I've ever dealt with started with mj. But not every mj user will go on to use hard narcotics... The problem is there's no way to tell who will or won't.
But that's not why I'm against it. I have an issue with the lack of oversight. I run into people with med cards for crap like I stubbed my toe at work(yes really). And California already proved the tax angle doesn't work. Most grow their own, no taxes. They didn't get near the windfall tax revenue they hoped for.
Too each their own, but I'll stay in the no corner.
Unless the federal government makes it legal, I see a problem with a pot user filling out a form 4473.
Actually for ADHD it would be CONSIDERABLY safer and less damaging to the Central Nervous System and Internal Organs than Ritalin, which is legal Speed.
