I’m reaching out to OSA to see if anyone is in the metalwork/welding business or can refer me to someone who is in the OKC area. I’ve built some brackets/spacers out of 14 gauge channel, and they weren’t stout enough without an opposing side. What I have in mind are 3”(L) x 3”(W) x 3” or 4” (H) open-sided “blocks” out of tubing with bolt holes on top and bottom to attach between existing mounting bolts on the bottom and a stamped sheet metal assembly on the top. 8 x 3”= 2’. Where I usually get steel only sells 20’ “sticks” so that's a but much to buy. And frankly I’ve spent all the time I want to on this project. There is the pride in DIY until you get to the “this _____ has gone on long enough” and I’m there. Any help is appreciated.

I'm just laughing out loud here. I'm a DIY guy myself but I can't get everything done by myself.
Sometimes you just gotta know when to turn it over
