jim, pull out the phonebook and just start down the list and call. i've been tempted to do this a few times when i'm looking for something in particular. never did it though. i'll take a wild guess and say almost every p-shop has a milsurp of some sort on the rack.
I've been tempted to do that a time or two myself when looking for something particular. Right now, if there was so me place I could do it, I'd just like to wander the racks to see what called my name. In other words, I don't know what I'm looking for yet, but I'll know it when I see it.
You Swede lovers will be interested in this one. I've been following it, expecting it to top out around $1,000. Wrong! http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=281008348
Let me ask you fellow lovers of milsurps what may be an odd question. Do you suffer from cosmoline withdrawls? I love to find something covered in it and then experience the feeling of taking it all apart and cleaning it to discover what I have. In my mind, I consider something still being covered in cosmoline a big selling point. If I go to long (a couple weeks or a month) without my cosmoline 'fix', I start looking for something, anything, covered with it. Is this common, or do I have a problem?
