NRA just called, wanted me to renew early, had VIP offer, wanted early money to help elect Romney. They went on a rant about Romney being lifetime member of NRA (but didn't mention that it was just since 2006), that Obama this and Obama that, but didn't mention Romney's anti gun record. I had to call them on the fact that they were only telling half the story, you need to mention Romney's record, how often he has said he didn't line up with the NRA, etc. Then told the caller for NRA to never call me again, perhaps I shouldn't have done that cause it sure was fun to unload some other truth's on him. Found this link which briefly covers Mitt's ever evolving stance on gun control, http://www.ontheissues.org/2012/Mitt_Romney_Gun_Control.htm, this same page will also provide a similar page on the President's positions.

I really like the paragraph that mentions Mitt's "Lifelong devotion to hunting", what a great hunter, ROFLMAO!

romney says he'll appoint justices like roberts.

that's what we want. activist judges.

It's funny how Roberts was called an ideal Conservative justice... and then that changed overnight with the Obamacare case.

"Activist judge" is a term only used to describe judges/justices you don't agree with.

It is just sad that this is all that we have to choose from to be the next leader of our Country

Democrats have traditionally nominated men who hold their Democratic values. The GOP quit doing that with McCain. McCain was always a moderate to slightly right conservative.

Romney is no more of a Republican than FDR. RINO doesnt even really fit. His record as Gov, is right on with Democratic ideals.

So in the end, i dont blame Dems, they're doing what theyve always done. The GOP has lost they're way and its going to cost them a cycle or 2.

I disagree. Romney is more conservative than McCain.
and Paul Ryan is excellent as VP.

Obama does NOT represent the core principles of the democrats in the 1990's or earlier. Even Bill Clinton managed to work with republicans to do some things like Welfare reform that were more "balanced".

Rather, Obama represents the takeover of the Dems by the ultra left progressives who want to tear down everything starting from the economy and then our freedoms and our culture, and instead institute "social justice" aka socialism....a place where all are mediocre and live in grey poverty, except for the rulers who live in dachas and villas.

This election is NOT about Romney....it's about Mr. Obama and what he represents.
Folks who vote for him are voting for socialism. Given this will be a close election, folks who do NOT vote for Romney are , in effect, voting for Obama.

2A will be the first to go, followed closely by 1A.
and all the other freedoms.

So we are NOT voting for ROmney but rather against a second Obama term.
And any attempts to dilute the vote against Romeny by "lurking" on conservative forums like this one will likely fail.
:)

What!? you mean king the flip-flops made a promise during election. Hope he keeps it. Personally I'd feel more comfortable if Ryan was the presidential nominee.

"Madam Speaker, this bill offends my principles. But I am going to vote for this bill in order to preserve my principles..." - Paul Ryan http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6628873/Con...2007-2008) - THOMAS (Library of Congress).pdf (page 164)

You seem to view Paul Ryan as some kind of freedom-loving Republican. Which Paul Ryan are we talking about?

The same Paul Ryan who voted for "stimulus" packages?
The same Paul Ryan who voted for government "bailouts" of private corporations?
The same Paul Ryan who voted to prohibit funding for private pro-abortion groups while voting to make funding private anti-abortion groups a priority? (No private group should ever be federally funded.)
The same Paul Ryan who wants the USA PATRIOT Act to be permanent?
The same Paul Ryan who voted to expand the use of warrantless wiretaps against American citizens within America's borders?
The same Paul Ryan who voted for indefinite detention of American citizens based on a mere accusation of even the most remote involvement in terrorism without any evidence being necessary?
The same Paul Ryan who wants more government involvement in your marriage and personal relationships?
The same Paul Ryan who want "non-patriotic" speech criminalized?
The same Paul Ryan who supports government subsidization of certain pet industries?
The same Paul Ryan who places Israeli issues as a higher priority than American issues?
The same Paul Ryan who believes that the federal government should force the states to honor out-of-state concealed carry permits?
The same Paul Ryan who voted to restrict your access to the legal system and restrict your ability to be compensated fairly for damages against you?
The same Paul Ryan who voted to not allow you to die on your own terms?
The same Paul Ryan who voted to subsidize the private insurance industry?
The same Paul Ryan who supported indefinitely continuing the unjustified wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
The same Paul Ryan who voted to extend unemployment benefits?
The same Paul Ryan who supports compulsory "savings accounts"?
The same Paul Ryan who wants to prohibit certain businesses on the Internet?
The same Paul Ryan who wants more control over what shows up on your TV?
The same Paul Ryan who wants to prohibit royalty payments for radio airplay?
