My logical brain just can't comprehend why these organizations (moms demand action, black lives matter). Never seem to address the real issues. Violent crimes, and homicides have nearly doubled in all the major cities. These same cities have some of the strictest gun laws in the nation. If they were really concerned about people one would think they would be in NYC protesting against defending the police, and against gun control laws.

Prob because they are politically motivated & have an agenda, or they are sincere but naive & believe the leftist BS.

LOL! Talk about "Civil Unrest!" Because that is not going to happen. :fullauto:
I disagree. Yes, there will “some” civil unrest when the time comes for gun confiscation, but it will be put down hard and examples made thus leading to the majority going along with the confiscation. Hell, as pussified as most of the general public is, most folks will probably just bend over and take it.:censored:

I said this over two years ago.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: when a private sale between strangers happens, the gun disappears from the system. UBC's have relatively little to do with keeping guns out of criminal hands. It has everything to do with keeping the guns from disappearing from the federal radar. What the objective is is to enable the feds to keep records of all sales.

And, like the OP said, the only effective way to enforce the UBC is with universal registration. That is their real objective.

I believe the only “solution” any of these groups are looking for (I am going to have fun and throw in the nra into the mix as well) is where that next donation check comes from. Period.
Those that seek out solutions to problems eventually produce something of value if they are sincere.
Endless problems require an endless stream of revenue.

"Moms Demand Action" was actually the title of a porn movie! Back in the late '70s/early '80s, that movie was very popular (and financially successful) all across the Deep South - and especially in Atlanta.

A few years ago, I met Shannon Watts at a gun-rights debate. I (innocently, of course) asked her what role she played in that movie, and she turned very red... but my wife dragged me away before I could watch Shannon's full reaction. Eighteen months ago, after a local televised debate over gun rights, I asked that same question of a female attorney who had represented Moms in the debate. That attorney sputtered, cursed, and literally ran(!) across the room and butted into a conversation, just to avoid me. My wife cringes every time I attend one of those functions, but it is so much FUN!
