Remember having a white sports coat. Wore colored t-shirts with it. AKA Sonny Crockett from Miami Vice. We were casual but fashionable. And the chicks loved it. LOL
Yeah, my "style" from high school days in the '70s would be pretty interchangeable with the clothes I wear now, boot cut jeans, boots, t-shirt or henley in the Summer and a plain button down, long sleeve shirt in the cooler weather. My clothing style hasn't changed since the 80's. I still wear Key overalls on my days off and button fly Levis 501s, New Balance sneaks and a Carhartt T shirt to church on Sunday.
High school gym teacher/social studies teacher. That's what I always think of when a guy is wearing a short sleeve button up shirt and a tie. Especially when he is sporting a **** stache.A tie with a short sleeve shirt just screams Baptist preacher or Walmart manager. But combine that with a pair of shorts with knee socks, and I dunno what in the hell you got going on there, Gilbert.
My wife and I constantly laugh about how I think men my dad's age (late 50s) and older look so natural sporting any style of mustache, but people my age (late 30s) or younger just look awkward. I know it is completely illogical, but my reaction is consistent haha.Thats the other thing we need to come back into style. Mustaches. My wife hates them, so at least if theyre fashionable again I might have a better chance of growing one. Its the only facial hair I can grow well, I actually grow a mean mustache, cant grow a beard to save my life.
I've heard that from many people, maybe I am just in denial. I would think there would be a more open mindset about mustaches at least from my wife, her dad had a mustache the majority of his life, until retiring and growing a goatee. My wife and I constantly laugh about how I think men my dad's age (late 50s) and older look so natural sporting any style of mustache, but people my age (late 30s) or younger just look awkward. My dad has had a mustache my entire life except one short time when he accidentally trimmed it too short and ended up shaving it to start over haha.I've heard that from many people, maybe I am just in denial.
