Mounting a scope on a Winchester 30-30 (Top Ejector)

I have a minty fresh 1973 Winchester 30-30 that I am gonna make my deer getter. However, my eyes are growing old so I need a scope. Has anyone ever done this before? What do I need and where do I get it? Thanks in advance.

I had the same idea. I bought a Marlin and put the Win in the safe.

I have a win 30-30 with a scope mounted on it. Its an offset scope mount you needs to get for it. A little different but doesnt take long to get used to.

A Marlin ejects somewhere other than out the top. It's a much better design for anyone that wants to use a scope.

Really, IMO, I don't see why anyone would buy a lever action these days, the cartridges suck, the "lever action" has been obsolete since the Mauser came out, etc. Anything the most beautiful Winchester or Marlin 30/30 can do, the crappiest SKS in the world can do better.
