And therefor, I'm wide awake.

My uncle and aunt are visiting, and I can hear his snoring through the wall. Unfortunately, I'm a very light sleeper.... so I don't expect to sleep tonight or tomorrow night.

So... someone with a spouse who snores... explain to me how you can possibly sleep with that?

My info is the same as Ive stated before on this same subject- earplugs and xanax (low dose prescription that Ive been on for years just for my lifelong case of insomnia). I dont see how a lil 5'4" 120lb woman can snore like my wife does. Luckily I'm a nightowl and vampire anyways so weekdays I usually just crash on the couch with my Boston, who ironically also snores pretty bad. Weekends that I'm home though and not out working playing music I do sleep back in the bedroom with the wife and the Boston and when I do its as stated earlier, earplugs and xanax in a California kingsize bed that I try to get as far away from both of them as I can. Works for me. You can substitute about anything in place of the xanax that knocks you out.

I wore these for years. They're cheap and super comfortable. You don't even know they're there after a couple of minutes. But then I developed an intermittent itch in my ear canal.

You could also get those soft ear plugs for shooting and run a small fan. I have a little fan with a 10" blade. You could try a clothes pin on him or go pinch his nose with your fingers like my daughter did to my mom when she was younger.

Well...I'm actually the offending snorer, but I slept in a different room until I got my CPAP machine. Then I lost a bunch of weight and my wife told me the snoring really subsided. Then I gained some of it back and I'm back on the CPAP. Sucks to be both of us, I guess.

That loud snoring could be sleep apnea. Best he get it checked. After you're around the snoring for awhile, you get used to it and learn to ignore it. I don't like wearing hearing protection to bed. I like to be able to hear what is going on in the house.
