45 months of sea duty and I was fortunate to never get truly seasick.

We had some 50'+ swells in the South China Sea, made for a fun ride on a DDG. Also went right between 2 typhoons, tossed us around pretty good. I've got some good video of it somewhere.

I missed your fun Hump. Was on a < 500 ft long LPD full of seasick Marines. We were mostly Brown Water service.

We had inlets like that on the south shore of Long Island. We would just hang offshore until the tide changed.
I was on an old guided missle cruiser for 4 years and we were near a hurricane once and the ship's bow lost the antennas and the barrel boots on the 5 and 6 inch gun turrets.

I was fortunate enough to never get see sick while forward deployed with my squadron onboard the USS Independence... We went through the tail end of a typhoon outside the Phillipines back in 94 or 95...it was crazy

All of my uncles served in the Navy back in WWII. They gave me holy h*ll when I enlisted in the Army.

That video and those pictures tell me that I made a damn good choice. I always figured that if the SHTF that I'd be on dry land instead of being shark bait.
