need help, with ammo difference

i have a question what is the difference between 7.65x53 (argentine), and 7.65x54? are they interchangable? and i am not talking about the 7.62x54r? so please do not get that confused?

I can't find a reference to a 7.65x54 cartridge in Barnes' "Cartridges of the World". The closest name I could find is "7.5x54 French MAS".

Do you know what rifles the 7.65x54 was/is chambered in? Was it a military cartridge?

The second set of digets (53 or 54) is the length of the cartridge case. One millimeter = .0394 inches. I don't think I'd put a case 54mm long in a 53mm long chamber, you would be jamming the case neck into the throat of the chamber raising pressure.

7.65x53mm belgian/argentina mauser/7.65 mauser-.312
7.62x54/7.62x54mm R/7.62 Russian-.308
None of these will interchange because of case lt/base dim/rimmed-rimm less.
I too can't find a 7.65x54mm listing
