Need some guidance on a carry pistol.

. As far as pocket guns go, the kahr p380 is at the top. Then the CM9. These two are also the same size. The CM is about 5-6oz heavier, but its a 9mm instead of the 380. And its also cheaper.

I carry a Glock 27 EVERYWHERE.....I love it! and I like shooting the .40 cal.....some people don't. You should go to an indoor range and shoot a couple to see what you like before buying one.

Thanks for the input. I'm most certainly not wedded to a particular caliber. Ideally I'd like a .45 ACP pistol.

Check out the Glock 36 if you are interested in a .45. This is my everyday carry piece.

My EDC is a Kahr CW45. Sure, it's a bit "snappy", but I love having a super-concealable, reliable .45 on my hip. And, it's reasonably priced.

In reasonably-priced 9mm, I'd look at the Glock 17 or 19, CZ 75 Compact or P01 or a Sig Pro 2022 (9 or 40). The Sig is bulkier and heavier than the Glock, but has a sweet DA/SA trigger and FACTORY Sig night sights. Sweet. I've seen them drop $100 since I bought my 2022 a few years ago. They're going for $400 NIB now.

+1 for the Glock 36. It's very similar to the Kahr CW45, both being single stack, no manual external safety 45s. Either one would make a great CC piece.

+1 on the Glock 36, that is my carry gun as well.

Mostly, I like my G19, Glock 36, Kahr CW9, and of course...a J-Frame for CCW. All depends on dress, where I'm going, time of day and to some extent, what I just feel like totin' on any particular day. I will always have a Glock 19 though. If I could only have one gun...there she be.

You won't be sorry with the 380, I know everyone began to hate it a couple of years ago when the ammo dried up but it is now back in abundance and the 9mm and 40 cal are starting to dry up. I believe it is a conspiracy by the gun manufacturers to sell more guns.

I carry my Kahr CW9 in a Crossbreed Minituck everyday and find it very comfortable. The CW9 has been totally reliable for me throughout its ~1000 rounds.
