need some trade advice

i have a kimber crimson pro carry ll lnib,been offered a rock river lar 15,in case,has 3 30 rd mags,bsa scope mounted on it and also comes with a detachable carry handle. would i come out good on this trade ? it'll be my first ar so i know nothing about them but the reviews for rock seem to be mostly good.

just my opion take it for what its worth, rock river makes a quality weapon but I believe you may regret letting the kimber go. keep the kimber save some cash and wait for the prices to come back to reasonable then buy the ar you want. I sure miss my kimber.

AR's are starting to come back in stock. RRA are good rifles but ild hold on to the Kimber.

I'd sell that Kimber and get a real 1911. Make the trade.

As much as I hate to agree with Shootin 4 Fun that a Kimber is not a real 1911, it is - in some ways - better.

And...

Kimber prices keep going up. Mine is worth more today - used - than it was the day I bought it 5 years ago. As others have noted, AR prices will, in the short run, go back to where they were pre madness.

Thanks for the input everybody,after a lot of thinking and lost sleep,decided to keep the kimber.Part of my reasoning was,although prices are up they do seem to be coming down and there's plenty of AR's out there for sale.I haven't been able to locate another crimson pro carry for sale anywhere so i couldn't replace it right now if i wanted to and it has become one of my favorite toys.

Hold on. I know very little about 1911s. But why are Kimbers not "really" 1911s? What makes a true 1911, a 1911?

I'm not a kimber fan but I would keep it like you already decided. They are super nice weapons. I have a friend that had a rra and it was a jamomatic. We changed out the bolt carrier and shot just fine. It was used fwiw. I've always heard rra's are nice ars though.
