I propose a new set of rules that must be met before anyone is allowed to go on television and tell me what to think about guns.
The general idea is you have to know WTH you are talking about.
Before you can go on TV and blather about guns,
You have to know and understand the difference between a machine gun and semiautomatic firearm.
Before you can go on TV and blather about guns,
You have to know that all ammunition, with the possible exception of birdshot, will easily penetrate a drywall partition.
Before you can go on TV and blather about guns,
You have to know that the 2nd amendment is NOT about hunting.
Before you can go on TV and blather about guns,
You have to know that ALL rifles are "high-powered", not just the black plastic ones.
Before you can go on TV and blather about guns,
You have to know that armor piercing bullets are restricted to law enforcement only.
When you have met all the above criteria then you receive your official "gun pundit license" and are allowed to blather your opinion on TV.
Till then, I'm tuning out.
I'm positive I left a few requirements out so you guys fill in the rest and we'll send it out to the networks.
