Formerly onequickfiveoh. Back again. Still shooting the solo. Looking to pick up a RIA tactical 2 tone next.

Got about 175 rounds thru the solo. Only issue so far is a few fte's. Hopin it's caused by to much spring in mag. Few forums say to leave mag full for a week so I'll see if it helps on Sunday.

This advice is IBS (internert bull$h!t) Springs wear out from overcompression, stretching, and use. Just sitting with a full mag has essentially zero effect on spring life/strength. If it's the wrong spring (which I doubt) replace it, preferably with one from Wolff.

A few years ago someone found some loaded 1911 mags from WW II. They all fed just fine, or so a fairly well documented internet story said. (IBS? possibly) What is really provable is the characteristics of spring steel. Engineers will tell you the truth. Fastest death=stretching. Next comes overcompression, often from modifying mag followers to allow one more round in a mag. CB
