Back when I worked, had an 18 mile commute. Go to bed promptly at 9pm, get up at 5:30, S,S and shave before heading out.
Always worked in industrial control systems, so was also on call out 24-7, 365 days a year to fix stuff during the night shifts which was usually 2-3 times a week, so interrupted sleep was the norm.
Now retired, I go to bed around 12:30 am, getting up whenever I'm ready, usually around 9:30am.
