After the shooting I never once seen an officer go up to the homeless guy. I would have shot the dog too, twice. I thought the officer involved acted like he was in trouble after the shooting, just by his body language. No one was interested in helping the homeless guy, just the dog, animal control even got there before paramedics.
What would you have done if you didnt have a gun? I wouldnt have peppered it and I'd waited for animal controle.
Heck, Barny would have been cleared if he missed and killed a civi. Reclessness abandonment of his surroundings, He wasnt thinking of the public safety or the man on the ground.

When did anybody lend assistance to the old man? If he was already dead they could have just waited for the dog catcher and avoided this whole thing instead of trying to justify it. I quit watching the vid after the dog catcher showed up after 420ish

i can answer that for ya,i had a pit latch on to my calf from behind and start shaking and ripping the muscle so i grabbed the back of his neck with my left hand and cut his throat with a kershaw oso sweet with my right.almost decapitated him,DRT. and they still had to pry his jaw open with a screw driver.
