Heres some cell phone math, hypothetical of course.

100 million cell phone users in the US. If we all had to pay only $50 a month per phone, that would look like this.

$50x12=$600, then multiply that times 100 million. 600x100 million. Thatsa lotta profit margine for the cell phone ppl. Maybe they could help out the poor and give em a free phone. Christ thats a butt load of money.

That's a lot of revenue. You have no idea what kind of profit margin it is because you don't understand what their overhead is. This is the problem in general I have with the anti-business sentiments I see like, the "businesses will just pass the cost on to the consumers." Everyone assumes a businesses is getting rich if it has a lot of sales. In most cases margins are dropping because wholesale costs are up and businesses have to choose between losing sales or cutting margins.

This whole anti-business argument is B.S. Many consumers will quit buying if any more costs get passed on to them. Business owners know this and will cut every possible costs in order to survive. This means lower earners get fewer hours and Obamacare, which is meant for the little guy, does more harm to them than ever. I don't think this is by design but it is an unintended consequence. Government legislation is full of unintended consequences. I am still and always will be a capitalist. I just think it is a shame that it has become such an evil concept to so many who argue the government is the reason for all our success and the solution to all of our problems. The last thing we should be arguing for is more power and more money for all of our corrupt politicians to use for their own personal gain.

I don’t have an issue helping anyone but I am sick and tired of helping people who don't want to help themselves! I have been widely reported that drug dealers are also using this Obama program to run their Drug business.

I went by one in OKC last week and most of what I seen were thugs and what appeared to me, to be nothing more that Meth heads. My position is if you can Smoke cigs and do drugs then you can buy your own damn phone.

Hey the drug dealers aren't the ones I have a problem with. They're the entrepreneurs, the job creators. :D You're free to vilify the users though.

But seriously though, how different are they from the pill mills that just herd up the poor folk and hand 'em opiates in exchange for billing the squeeze out of their medicaid?
