Not much he can do legally with EOs. He could restrict (stop) import of all arms and ammunition for starters. He could re-task some of the executive branch enforcement divisions to engage in persecution level enforcement such as daily inspection of FFLs. OSHA, EPA, DOT involvement in manufacture and transport of ammunition and components.
Legally he can't ban semi-autos or assault weapons or handguns nor require registration or close the "gun show loophole".

What he can get away with remains to be seen.

Maybe I'm bananas, but I am very curious to see what that Order would look like and how it would be enforced.

With every 'enforcement' agency already griping about shrinking budgets in the face of expanded workloads, I almost want to see how they would deal with instructions to 'disarm' the US.

If only my personal rights weren't at play, it would make great political theater.

I am interested in seeing how they would use EO as well, seeing as this has been challanged before all the way to the SCOTUS who said a EO can not be used to implement law, but only to enfore or act on an existing law.

I'm not arguing. This is a question/statement...not sure you right. Unless Congress stops him I think he can do what ever he wants.

With random sentiment like THAT on a MAINSTREAM news publication, I do not think the people can be ignored like they do not exist anymore. It would be a BIG mistake to enact an executive order, they cannot push the lies that people want STRICTER gun control when that is not what people want, they want MORE guns, in MORE properly trained hands, and they want the right to make that decision on a county level if majority is not reached at state level.
